Frequently Asked Questions

1)       What benefits will I get from coaching?

  • Get unstuck and meet your goals

  • Develop more self-confidence, courage and leadership skill

  • Generate new thinking and new thinking habits

2)      Where does coaching take place?

Coaching is offered both in-person and virtually via Zoom.

3)      What is the best environment for my coaching session?

You will get the most out of coaching if you select a space in which you are not distracted and that you have complete privacy to express yourself.  Ideally you will find a spot that is different than the place you normally sit to work.  If that is not possible, try to face a different direction or sit in a different chair.  Kick start your new thinking even before you come into the coaching session!

4)      How long is a coaching session?

A individual coaching session can run 60 or 90 minutes in length. Group and team session length varies.

5)      What is the monetary investment from the client for a coaching session?

You can see the coaching packages at the bottom this page and this page.

6)      What happens before the first coaching session?

a)      We will have a complementary Discovery Call.

b)      You will read and sign the coaching contract and make your payment.

c)      You will complete a Pre-Coaching Reflection Questionnaire.

d)      You will likely complete an Assessment.

7)      What is the purpose of a coaching contract?

Reading and signing the contract is very important because it defines our roles as client and coach and creates the agreements of the shared mindset that give us the best possible chance for you to grow, meet your goals and discover new thinking.

8)      What happens in between coaching sessions?

You will take action on the goal(s) or objectives you created for yourself in our coaching session.  You are always welcome to reach out to me via email in between sessions with thoughts, comments and questions.

9)      What happens after the last coaching session?

Ideally, we will know when we are in our final coaching session prior to beginning the session.  This will allow us to thoroughly explore the insights you have gained from your coaching experience and reinforce a plan of action plan for you to have moving forward.  You will take your new ideas and new ways of thinking with you into your life and continue to grow and thrive.  You, as your own best advocate, will be free to rejoin me for additional coaching time together whenever you wish.

10)      What is the difference between individual (1:1) coaching and group coaching?

Individual coaching includes only the coach and client and is customized to the individual.  Group coaching sessions typically include 8-10 participants and take place either online or at Anahata Wellness Co-op.  Learning and discovery is facilitated through interaction with the other group members.

11)      Can I skip the Discovery Call and just get started?

As exciting as it can be to dive into all that coaching offers, a bit of time spent on getting familiar with each other will make our partnership that much more powerful!  So the sooner we have our Discovery Call, the sooner we will find ourselves in our first coaching session ๐Ÿ˜Š

12)      What preparation does the coach do for each coaching session?

For each session I spend with a client I have put in hundreds (or more) hours of training and research. I have made sure to energetically and professionally prepare to bring forth all of the clientsโ€™ pre-work and my coach training to our time together.  Years of holistic well-being experiences and extensive mentor coaching hours feed the intuition and presence that inform my coaching partnership with clients.

13)      Do you use assessments in your coaching?

Depending on the circumstances, I use the Gallup CliftonStrengths Assessment, the VIA CharacterStrengths Assessment and/or the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory.  Each of these assessments is validated by scientific research within the field of positive psychology.

14)      What is the Gallup CliftonStrengths Assessment?

Over the past five decades, Gallup researchers have been studying what makes people successful. This exhaustive study, ultimately led to the CliftonStrengths assessment which identifies the innate talents within an individual. More than 28 million people have taken Gallup's CliftonStrengths assessment. Your greatest talents โ€” the ways in which you most naturally think, feel and behave โ€” are a source of tremendous power. By taking the assessment you will learn what your top talents are and discover what makes you exceptional so you can maximize your potential.  There is an additional fee for the rigorous and detailed report that you will obtain after taking this assessment.

My Top 5 strengths are Learner, Strategic, Relator, Achiever and Connectedness.  I look forward to sharing them with you.

15)      What is the VIA CharacterStrengths Assessment?

Character strengths are the positive parts of your personality that impact how you think, feel and behave.  Scientists have identified 24 character strengths that you have the capacity to express.  By taking the VIA Survey you will discover your unique character strengths profile.  Knowing and applying your highest character strengths is the key to you being your best self. You may take a look at the list of Character Strengths Here.
